SUC : SUC Faculty gains Senior Fellowship status from Higher Education Academy UK

Dr Basil John Thomas, faculty in Business Administration has been recently awarded the Senior Fellowship status of Higher Education Academy (SFHEA, Advance HE), in recognition of attainment against the UK Professional Standards Framework for teaching and learning in Higher Education. Basil is the recipient of various Global Educational Leadership awards too for the eminent Professorship last year.

“In fact, Advance HE has provided a wonderful opportunity for me to reflect on my own teaching, research and academic responsibilities and to obtain recognition for my professional skills and practices. I do believe that the Certification as a Senior Fellow is a badge and a signpost to show my professional excellence that has been recognized internationally in academia. Although it was quite challenging and tough to succeed as a Senior Fellow, the whole experience from the beginning of the application was one of the most memorable journeys in my professional life”.
