The Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees was established as an institutional governance body in 2005/2006 under a directive from the Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE). The BoT memberships have been updated with respect to MoHE recommendations in 2012 – 2013.

The Board of Trustee (BoT) is responsible to the Board of Directors for approving the strategic plans of the College and the use of financial resources.

The Board of Trustees (BoT) is headed by a noted Omani personality, and comprised of two of the owners: the Chairman and Vice-Chairman, Dean of the college, Dean of one of the applied colleges in Oman or representative nominated by the MoHE, two noted personalities from the community and two faculty members.

The Board of Trustees is responsible to the Board of Directors for approving the Strategic Plans of the College and the use of financial resources. Among the duties and powers of the BoT are to: determine, view and assess the Educational Strategic Policies, Mission and Strategic plans of the College; and make or approve the College Ordinances, Policies and Regulations. The BoT may establish committees for any purposes including those provided in the Statutes, Ordinances, Regulations, Policies, Codes and By-Laws of the College. The Board of Trustees may delegate its duties and powers to such committees or to the Dean.
