Program Aims
Department of Information Systems and Technology at SUC currently offers the following awards and degrees, upon successfully completion of 60 credit hours for diploma and 120 credit hours for Bachelor with minimum of 2.0 GPA out of 4 :
- Diploma in Information Systems.
- Bachelor in Information Systems.
Aim :
Information Systems program links technology and various other domains for information processing with the help of contemporary software development techniques and tools. Information Systems program prepares the graduates with expertise and knowledge in various information development and management processes to meet global and local requirements.
Diploma in Information Systems :
1.Objectives:
Diploma in Information Systems Program will enable the students to gain knowledge and skills to:
- Understand theory and practice of Information Systems in general.
- Understand the requirements and the approach to the users support.
- Identifies the process of analyzing systems.
- Develop databases for different IS applications.
- Apply structures and algorithms in developing programs.
- Use Systems concepts for understanding and framing problems.
- Improve organizational processes using Information Systems.
Bachelor in Information Systems :
1.Objectives:
Bachelor in Information Systems Program will enable the students to gain knowledge and skills to:
- Understand theory and practice of Information Systems in wide.
- Understand the principle guidelines and models of interactive systems.
- Develop databases and web – based application systems.
- Apply structures and algorithms in developing programs.
- Apply knowledge in project management.
- Cooperate and collaborate with various people in IS team.
- Opt the proper infrastructures and emerging technological models.
- Apply knowledge and skills of analytical and problem solving.
- Conduct research in Information Systems areas.
