Program Aims

Department of Information Systems and Technology at SUC currently offers the following awards and degrees, upon successfully completion of 60 credit hours for diploma and 120 credit hours for Bachelor with minimum of 2.0 GPA out of 4 :

  • Diploma in Information Technology.
  • Bachelor in Information Technology.

Aim :

Information Technology program aims to provide appropriate methodologies to manage information technology resources of the organizations. The information technology program provides the skills and knowledge for selecting, creating, integrating and administrating information technologies in organizations and advocates the users in proper application of technologies in societal contexts.

Diploma in Information Technology :

1.Objectives

Diploma in Information Technology Program will enable the students to gain knowledge and skills to:

  • Understand the information technology concepts, basics of operating systems and system software.
  • Apply programming concepts in different system development.
  • Develop a conceptual vocabulary for analyzing human interaction with software create and develop relational database systems.
  • Successfully apply information technology in organizational and societal contexts.

Bachelor in Information Technology :

1.Objectives

Bachelor in Information Technology Program will enable the students to gain knowledge and skills to:

  • Understand the information technology concepts, basics of operating systems and system software.
  • Apply programming concepts in different system development.
  • Develop a conceptual vocabulary for analyzing human interaction with software create and develop relational database systems.
  • Successfully apply information technology in organizational and societal contexts.
  • Identify system requirements, networking technologies and communications.
  • Demonstrate knowledge in analyzing and finding solutions to problems related to computer programming.
  • Design software applications based on user requirements.
  • Conduct research in Information Technology related areas.
